This is an excellent example of a Marryat MR7 Fly Reel in excellent condition. Reel has been lightly used and shows a small amount of finish wear on one of the edges. This reel is 2 5/8 " in diameter with a 1 inch wide spool. The Marryat was known for its smooth drag system and light weight. An excellent reel to match your lightest of fly rods. Line is not included

Rare spinning reel marked The Illingworth No. 4 Mk. III Salmon Reel on the face of the spool, along with multiple patent markings. Reel features manual line pickup, fully enclosed gear housing, and face plate mounted drag lever. According to Ben Wright's book, Spinning Reel Reference and Value Guide, this particular model is circa 1934 vintage, with the reel body and foot being constructed out of duralium lightweight aluminum alloy. Reel shows just enough wear from use to give it great character. Everything seems to be working properly. Comes in what appears to be its original fibreboard case. A great reel to add to any collection.

There were only 2 Van Staal 2005 Christmas Editions Ever made, VS 100 and a VS 200. The reels were made for the company's Christmas Card in 2005 and were not even supposed to be available. They were supposed to go to the Fishing tackle Museum in Oklahoma. I had the oppertunity to get the reels and have had them since 2006 when I purchased them from Van Staal for my personal collection. Those of you that are familiar with Van Staal know that they are probably one of the finest spinning reels ever made and I will say that the 2 reels that I have will be one of the rarest of all fishing reels that a person could own. I have all of the documentation from Van Staal including Letter from the President of Van Staal,Original Invoice for both reels that I purchased from them,Original Christmas Card that was sent to all Van Staal Dealers and a Christmas card from the president of Van Staal Detailing the History of the reels and How they came about. These were never made previous or after 2005 making these the only 2 ever produced and I was told the cost to do just 2 was huge. I am really just getting these out there so my fellow collectors know they exist and can enjoy the pictures as much as I do.

Here is a vintage Perez free spool heavy salt water casting reel coming in its original marked 2 piece cardboard box and with its registration card. It is marked on the front plate with "Perez - Made in U.S.A. - No. 1", and on the back plate with"Made by - SILBER PRODUCTS, INC. - NEW YORK, N. Y.". It is also marked on the interior hard rubber plate with the serial number 1102 which matches the registration card number included. It has a nickel silver frame with hard rubber screw off side plates with no chips or cracks. It is in excellent+ condition and it looks as it never had line on it. I actually hate to part with it. All the functions work great including the free spool and drag. The reel spins nicely. The German silver looks great. The foot is full length. The front hard rubber side plates and handle knob have a nice scalloped design. The registration card has a small amount missing from the left side. It comes with the original cardboard box and it is in very good condition with light edge wear and a bit of separation on the interior bottom side.

I am selling this reel for a friend, Good luck, This is a mitchel 408 DL Special, notice the gold drag on the spool, a very rare reel and a great investment, do your research online and you will see what i am talking about, Serial number is 970964 the 7 behind the 9 is hard to read due to what looks like a factory blemish, very very small, you will see in the photos showing the reel seat, This reel is in Excellent condition with little signs of use, please see all photos, plus 1 extra spool, the extra spool has some wear on it, please see photo,This is for sale locally also so give me a call if you have any questions, 530-968-5385, thx Charles Searching for Mitchell "Gold" can be as elusive and captivating as the real thing! Collectors and Mitchell DL specialist would agree locating these "gems" wears down even the most ardent collectors. For 25 years, Mitchell produced in limited quantities a special series of gold enhanced reels that were sold as either Deluxe models (DL) or Gold Presentation (G) series. These fine examples of aesthetically enhanced gold plated reels are the top prize for many collectors who may spend years trying to secure a few pieces for their collection. Mitchell, wanting to expand their DL presentation series, decided to introduce an ultra light version. In 1971, they offered on a very limited basis the 408DL in the US & Europe. Demand for this reel was "off the charts" even with a selling price of $125.00 US! Dealers were given very few based on a quota system which made demand for these reels go even higher. That 125.00 US dollar retail price of yesteryear is equivalent to 500 US dollars or 350 British pounds in today’s economy. Less than 650 manufactured in the few short years of production. Always considered the golden child of the Mitchell DL family, the 408DL may be the rarest of all regular issue DLs.

This classic Bogdan salmon reel has seen years of honest service as seen in the wear to the finish on the black anodized end plates. I would place this reel at about a 5 cosmetically and a 9 mechanically. This left hand wind reel measures 3 3/4" in diameter with a 1 1/8" wide spool. The frame is gold anodized aluminum. The tail plate has Bogdan's eleven position drag system. The rim of the frame is neatly engraved "NO MAN CAN LOSE WHAT HE NEVER HAD." ISAAK WALTON" on the handle side, and "1963" on the tail plate side. It is loaded with a floating fly line with backing. I assume that it is 10 weight since that is the recommended line for this reel. There is a low reserve (for a Bogdan) because of the wear to the finish on the end plates.

RARE RARE RARE! This is the most unusual fishing reel that I have ever seen! It is very old....MADE IN THE 1950'S. It is a combination spinning and conventional casting reel. The unusual part about this reel is that It has a metal lever that pivots for casting. When you release the lever, the reel is ready to retrieve. The spool oscillates to keep the line even. The top of the spinning spool is marked: MERIT Stadler Inc U.S.A. PATENTS PENDING Tighten (with the direction of the arrow). It has rust and needs a good cleaning. The working condition is a little stiff, could use a good cleaning and oiling. I'm not sure exactly how it is supposed to work, as it is very RARE. I've never seen another one to compare it with.

This is a used PENN 940 Levelmatic Wind Reel manufactured by PENN in the United States of America. It has a Gold case in remarkable condition with some inconsequential minor scratches. It looks fantastic and these high quality reels are excellent performers. The chrome and stainless steel are in excellent condition with no sign of wear. I am 71 years old and this is one of three reels I inhierited from my father when he died. This reel was used very, very little. I do not know the year of the manufacture and there is not a visible serial number. It does however, work perfectly.
