IF YOU LIKE TO FISH WITH, OR COLLECT, VERY HIGH QUALITY UNUSED ORIGINAL FLY RODS YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT THIS ROD AND THE OTHER 5 RODS I AM LISTING TODAY 10/4/07--FENWICKS, ORVIS, PHILLIPSON--YOU WONT FIND ANY RODS ANY NICER THAN THESE !!!--this is a phillipson peerless model 7-1/2 ft 3 peice(actually a 2 peice rod with spare tip)split bamboo fly rod--all 3 peices are exact same length--the rod is designed for 6 weight line--has 9 line guides including the tip guide--has beautiful new condition windings on all guides--the cork handle is unsoiled condition--has a beautiful dark walnut rod butt and reel seat--you can tell by looking at the reel seat there has never been a reel mounted on the rod--the rod comes in the correct original tan cloth storage bag which comes inside the original metal rod tube--has the original phillipson sticker on the tube--the tube shows some very light wear and has done a fantastic job keeping the rod in absolute new condition--the only thing keeping the rod from being factory fresh is the original owner very lightly engraved his SS# on the reel seat area--mounting a reel will cover this number totally but it is barely visible anyway--OTHER THAN THIS YOU CANNOT FIND A NICER CONDITION PHILLIPSON PEERLESS BAMBOO FLY ROD EVER !!
