This is a rear HARDY PERFECT "TAUPO" FLY REEL it is 3 7/8 th inch with a spare spool and zip soft case all in very good condition other than light scratches to the paint due to normal use, it has no 'damage' cracks, breaks or chips and no corrosion.This reel was only made between 1958 and 1964 designed to fish the large rainbow trout of the famous Lake Taupo and associated rivers in the central north island of New Zealand it has a slightly wider spool to accomodate more line to fish these large powerfull fish. This is the only taupo I have come across and I live only 100 miles from lake Taupo. The reel has all the normal post war perfect features an alloy foot (original) duel check mehanism nickle silver line guide and it turns smooth and free with the classic Hardy stong click.I can e-mail extra photo's please ask any questions prior to bidding.
