Up for consideration is this 1918 OR 1919 CREEK CHUB NATURE LURES FISHING TACKLE CATALOG. We can't be sure of the exact date on this but believe this is either a 1919 or 1920 Creek Chub Casting and Trolling Nature Lures Catalog. No copyright date or form number is found. The old catalog's been folded years ago and may be a pre-1920 Lure Box catalog. We can't be sure? We consider this Creek Chub Catalog to be PRE-1920 AND RARE! The date is verified by the testimonials in the catalog. 1917 and 1918 dates are seen throughout the testimonials. The measurement of the old catalog as seen in our 1st photo is aprox. 5 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" tall. When open the old Creek Chub catalog measures the same 8 1/2" tall and aprox. 22" wide. There are NO TEARS found! There are NO BENT CORNERS. There's No writing in or on the catalog. There's a ruffled edge on what we consider the front cover opening edge. The catalog is slightly soiled as seen in our detailed photos. This is only soiled in certain areas from being folded. It has nice rich color and patina on the colored areas of the catalog. The catalog introduces the Open Mouth Shiner as being "New" for this year. The Open Mouth Shiner was introduced in 1918. The catalog shows in detail the following lures: CREEK CHUB WIGGLER, BABY CHUB, HUSKY MUSKY, THE CRAWDAD, THE BABY CRAWDAD, and THE OPEN MOUTH SHINER. The old catalog was just found with-in the collection. We'll let you be the judge after viewing the detailed photos below and please ask any questions prior to bidding. We describe the items the best we can. This is believed to be PRE-1920, however the actual date of the catalog is unknown. This is a striking 3 3/4" early minnow with shiny hardware, excellent glass eyes and sweeping hand painted gill marks. There is one small pointer to the primer on the back between the hook hangers and the paint has a few fine age lines. Paint is still on the belly weight as shown. The Pflueger Neverfail hardware was patented in 1911 so this lure can be dated as pre-1911. White streaks are camera flash.

Here is a great opportunity for collectors to add a nice example of Leroy Howell's classic fish decoys to their collection. This decoy was purchased from the Howell family several years ago. It is guaranteed to be in original condition and is also guaranteed to be authentic. Leroy Howell is one of the top names in Old Time Minnesota fish decoy carving and his decoys are featured in all collector's reference books. For additional information on Howell check the back issues of Hunting and Fishing Collectibles Magazine for an in- depth feature article which reveals many formerly unknown details about this interesting man. Also check the reference book FOLK ART FISH DECOYS by Dr. Petersen. The length of this example is 6 1/2" and it is painted in an unusual color combination. The body is a creamy white and the head and tail are painted in a very unusal pinky/orange. If you are color collecting your 6 1/2" Howells this is going to be a must-have item. The condition of this decoy is as you see. There is paint wear and paint loss to the metal tail fin. The side fins are unpainted and were always this way. This decoy is in original, lightly fished or unfished condition. It has double incised eyes which are painted gold and black. the outline of the face is delicately carved and the decoy has excellent age and patina. Opportunities to add an investment quality Leroy Howell fish decoy to your collection do not come along very often so make sure to take advantage of this one. The age is 1950s.

Comes in the rare rainbow fire color pattern & measures 3 1/2" long. Also has C.C.B.Co Garrett, Ind 9-7-20 engraved on it's diving lip. Lure & box are in excellent condition. I dont think this one ever hit the water.

This vintage Wright & McGill Granger Victory rod number gv. 9050 appears to have never been used!! It still has the original paper rubber banded to the bottom of the rod. He tells all his knowledge on the art of Trolling, Bottom-Fishing, Fly-Fishing, and Trimmer-Angling” There are many wood cut engravings of equipment, fish species, maps and fishing scenes. All 217 pages and every illustration are all there and the binding is very strong. There is some wear to the corners and the paper fronts of the covers. My reserve on this rare fishing book is far below what similar volumes have sold for in the past and examples of this book are very hard to find. ......
