This item is a vintage Garcia Ambassadeur 5000 baitcasting reel by ABU Sweden. I don’t know how old it is, but it was on sale at the time for $24.99 according to the price tag, so it has been around for a number of years. It is new and comes in a box that doubles as a retail display advertising it’s features. Included with the reel is a leather carrying case, a container of more than a dozen small repair parts, and a small plastic bag containing a bottle of oil and a disassembly tool. The corners of the box top show a bit of wear from storage, but is not torn or marked on. There is a letter “A” written in ink near the corner of the inside box near the reel crank handle. It may show in the photo. If you are a collector of Ambassadeur reels, this is one you don’t want to miss. This is one of my personal ‘treasures’ that I just could not bring myself to actually use. Because I am downsizing, this is sold “AS IS” with no return option. The reserve is modest compared to it’s value. I hope you will take a look at my other items. U.S.A. sales. PayPal only please.
