My Grandfather has passed away, this was in storage. It is SO HUGH I weighted it and it top the scale at 13 POUNDS, I dont have a tape but it HAS to be WELL OVER a foot wide. This is truly a HUGH Marlin Rod, I bet it could tow a truck.

The reel is a two speed, you pull the handle out and a gear comes out and you slide it forward into the lower or higher speed. You can see it in the photos.
