Vintage Orvis Flea Bamboo Fly Rod with 2 tips HFG (4) Bidding has ended

Vintage Orvis Flea Bamboo Fly Rod
Offered is this vintage Orvis Flea impregnated bamboo fly rod HFG (4) serial #65303, length 6 1/2 ft, 2 piece, weight 2 oz, with its original cloth bag and original metal screw top case with green exterior label. The case says 1 tip, yet two tips are included. Both are Orvis impregnated bamboo tips and are different lengths. One tip is hand numbered #65303 is 39.5" and the other #56785 is 26.5" long. The #56785 tip is a tiny bit smaller in circumference and is a little loose when connected to the bottom half of the rod. Perhaps it is for another rod? The tips and the rod are in very good condition. The finish does not show wear and the guides are intact, strong and true. There is some slight darkening to the cork handle from use and some chipping to the edges of the end of the cork handle. The Orvis lable on the metal rod case has a few scratches and the rod case has a slight dent near the bottom. Please see more photos below. A wonderful piece of craftsmanship and a great rod!
