This auction is for one Rare vintage late 1940's or early 1950's Rod and reel combination. The reel was produced by Fihe enterprises in Burbank California. The rod is a early stub caster. The reel is marked Fihe enterprises Burbank Calif pat pending. The handle of the reel is marked Telecast. The reel body is copper in color. The reel is designed with out a bail and swivels when a lever is pressed to release the line. The reel has two positions available for fish ing one is a lock position and the other is free wheel with drag adjustment. The lever for casting runs independant of the fishing positions of the reel. The reel is in working condition and is really nice. The rod is a Stub Caster. It is a two peice rod and is about 22 1/2 inch es long when assembled as pictured. The handle grip s are gray brown marbled bakelite with the Stub Caster name molded into the bakelite with raised letters. The grips are attached to the handle with two rivets. There aren't any apparent chips, cracks, or breaks in the grips or pole nut which is also bakelite. The rod will be shipped assembled as I haven't had it apart for a while and it may need to be oiled to get it apart. Use caution if you take the pole apart. If you take it apart I will not be responsible for any damage. Please use the pictures to determine condition. The rod and reel pictured are the ones you will receive.
