Recent estate find is this very rare benjamin thumesy bait casting fishing reel
this reel was made in chicago ill on or about 1916 non handle side is marked patent pending
handle side is marked benjamin thumezy foot is marked benjamin-sellar mfg co chicago ill
it is complete and in working condition with a working click
finish has what looks like light brassing most of which woul polish out as it is made of german silver
the screws look to have never been touched
pressing the thum plate disengages the spool for casting then you must push in on the handle to engage the spool
a very seldom seen baitcaster in wonderfull condition
