Shakespeare's BUCKTAIL
REVOLUTION Lure 1901
First appeared in 1901, and sold throughout Michigan like Wildfire. They couldn't keep up with the demand, and the word about this lure was mostly spreading by mouth, newspapers and magazines were slow to come out at that time period...; it was obvious where the name came from; they couldn't keep these on the shelf. This lure put William Shakespeare, the Lure Maker, on the map. This bizzarre surface lure is one ABSOLUTELY EXCELLANT example of the Bucktail Revolutions, and you don't see many of them around at all, especially in this condition; ESPECIALLY UNDER A BUCK!!! (99 cents)...... (check out the pictures) ...as nice as I've seen down here; they DO NOT show up in antique stores, and when I have found them in Lures Shows; the owners want a bloody fortune for them, no matter what condition they're in....this one is missing one hook tine, off the treble hook.... it doesn't detract much from the display quality of the lure; not much at all... these are well over 100 YEARS OLD, and some of the most collectible of ancient metal lures available on the market today!!! I collect the most unusual lures and fishing hardware that I can find on the market and antique stores throughout the South. Run of the mill lures are a dime a dozen... while REAL lures are extremely animated and were the very best that the lure makers had to offer you. This lure is indeed a piece of history, and not for the faint of heart (or pocket book). You'll see more of these over time, but NOT in this condition, and this lure is a VERY EARLY ONE.... Patent Applied For written on one of the Mickey Mouse blades.... it took a while to get the patent into place; even back then......Rare in any condition, is not a stretch....RARE IN THIS CONDITION? Most definately, not a stretch, This LURE IS AWESOME, and you'll agree!

Your lures will be carefully packaged and sent out to you immediately after receiving your payment. If paying by check, your lures will be sent promptly after the check clears. The hooks will be covered with surgical tubing and lures bubble wrapped. My packaging is the best that anyone could offer you, I assure you...NOTHING goes out without a box, unless you were to specifically request it....and even then, only on some lure like a metal spoon, that couldn't be broken or maimed.
