Having one head plate screw to disengage the head plate that is very rare on Edward Vom Hofe reels. German silver and hard rubber construction, with click button on tail plate. Engraved with owners initials and name on head and tail plates. There are no cracks or chips on head or tail plates, foot has been lightly filed. Offered is a very nice Bill Ballan Heritage Line Classic Fly Reel. The reel was purchased by me from Bill over twenty plus years ago. It was the First reel built celebrating his ‘to be’ New “Heritage” line of reels. The reel has never been fished, lined or mounted and has sat in it’s Very Nice Custom Hard Leather and Fleece case since it was purchased. This is a reel that can be used or displayed. Why Not Both! A real Work Horse, Bill Ballan is known for his Engineering prowess and attention to Detail, Fit and Finish which this reel will surely attest too.

The Ballan is set up for right hand wind and can hall in a tug boat if the demand is such… But better dressed with a nice 4 or 5 weight line and married to any fine Cane or Composite rod. (more...)
