Up for auction today is my Orvis Light Salmon 8’6” 3/2 bamboo fly rod, serial #31617. This rod is the more sought after 3 piece Lt. Salmon with a removable fighting butt. I like it best with a 7wt double taper line, which this rod throws more than a country mile. Rod is also impregnated as are all Orvis bamboo rods, which are known their high quality construction and forgiving action. This rod is in excellent original condition and is ready for action. I have used this to fish for Salmon, Steelies, large trout and bass and every fish landed has been a pleasure to fight on the Light Salmon’s elegant action. What more can you want… a legendary bamboo fly rod impregnated with fish catching mojo! Please refer to pictures for rod’s condition. The marks on the ferrules are marks not scratches.
