The PENN INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT SERIES was introduced in 1967 with 4 models.
The 130 and the 130H (high speed) models came out in the early 70's and by the late 70's,
PENN had 10 different INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT SERIES models
Due to its ability to "reel in fish the size no one had ever caught before" (PENN Catalog 1978)
The 130 was considered the Flagship of the INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT SERIES
