This is a wonderful example of an Oscar Peterson ice fishing decoy. It is painted in his famous bear paw pattern. It is 10 inches long and dates back to the 1930's to 1940's. This decoy is in great condition with original paint and very little paint loss. Oscar Peterson was a Michigan hunter and fisherman and was Michigans premiere decoy carver. RARE Heddon GIANT RUNT Fishing Lure Musky SALMON Plug Closing : Jun-08-08 19:00:00 PDT CLICK HERE TO BID!

Outstanding and rare circa 1938 Heddon Giant Runt wood fishing Lure. The original finish in "yellow shore" color is remarkable. It measures 3 1/2" and includes the more desirable Giant Vamp glass eye type (as opposed to the later Teddy Bear eyes) suggesting it was made toward the earliest part of its 1938-1941 production period. It carries Heddon's famous heavy-duty toilet seat hardware and still retains it's original yellow bucktail.
The condition of this lure is amazing. It is difficult to find a Giant Runt in any shape, let alone one in excellent condition, as is this one. Most of these big lures simply didn't survive. If they did, they were bit by the big Salmon and Muskie, or knocked around in a tackle box. When one is found, it nearly always shows some rash of one sort or another. I have never seen one better than this one. It has perfect eyes, excellent hardware, nice bushy bucktail, shiny vamp-style lip, and even the nose and tail are without blemish. It boasts a breathtaking original finish with only some very light crazing to the varnish in places. You won't find one better!

Really nice old Heddon #100 Dowagiac Minnow in the early "fatbody" with L-rig hardware made Circa 1915. This all wood/all original lure has been fully hand painted in the classic Green Crackleback complete with red gill slits and large oversized glass eyes. The lure body measures 3" in length and its in excellent condition for its age with just some minor paint cracking on the belly and some small chipping around the tail, no drag marks or scratches. Both glass eyes are pristine and the hardware is also all original and in good condition.
Book value range for a nice #100 is $200 - $900, but as with all of my auctions this starts at .99 with NO RESERVE

A very rare and sought after piece, this unique shaped Wee Dee in frog pattern (series 4819) was created in 1936, but gone right after WWII. Created to replace the Weed Bug, it comes with 3 single hooks, 2 wire weed guards (one is missing, but can probably be created or replaced), a long wire line tie, 2 glass eyes positioned on the top of the head. There is a small chip on the corner of both sides of the chin, the right rear, and the top right left of the bait. For the most part, bright and shiny and highly displayable. In comes in a solid correctly stamped 4819 box and the famous old man on the pier pocket catalog that comes in full color. Here is a complete set for somebody's collection that will be the envy of your fellow CCB collectors.

There are just a ton of antique or vintage lures and lure boxes. Some of the lure brand names that I could figure out are Heddon, Creek Chub, Arbogast, Paw Paw, Millsite, Shur Strike, Cisco Kid, Shakespeare, Wood’s, South Bend and Pflueger. There are probably many more lure makers included but I can not ID them.

There are many old lures made of wood and there are even some lures with glass eyes. Some of the lures are in very good shape. Some of the lures show their age, wear, use and/or damage and are in poor condition.

Also included is a fishing reel, a sinker tin full of weights, hook boxes with hooks, reel tools and more.

Pflueger Kent Frog Hand Painted Vintage Wood Lure Closing : May-18-08 20:11:18 PDT CLICK HERE TO BID!

This appears to be a hard to find early Pflueger Kent Frog Lure. It is wood hand painted in a frog pattern, with yellow glass eyes with black pupils. It has front and rear counter rotating blades that are marked "Trade Mark Registered U.S. Pat. Office" with a small logo with the letter "P" in a diamond. My 1981 book by Luckey states that this frog lure with glass eyes and a "P" in a diamond logo is a Pardee kent frog, which preceeded the Pflueger kent frog, but I haven't found any collaboration for that. I also have not seen any pictures of a pflueger kent frog with the hooks attached as they are on this frog, as you can see in the pictures. I'll leave it to you experts to figure out. The front blade is marked "R", and the rear "L". It has double belly mounted treble hooks that appear to be screwed in, or possibly wired through the body, which do not have metal cups, and a trailing treble hook.. The total length is 4 1/4" with the hook extended, and the width with the hooks extended is 3 1/2". The wood body is 1 7/8" long and 1 3/8" wide. The paint is in good condition on the top of the body with the exception of the apx. 1/8 inch piece missing by the left eye as pictured. The bottom and sides have some cracks but the paint is intact. The rear has paint loss for apx 1/4 inch radius of the rear hardware as pictured. Buyer to pay $5.30 for USPS postage plus insurance. International by USPS at cost. Johnsons are neat plugs from the 1930s that were made in four sizes, and featured an elaborate spring mechanism to insure the fish would be caught. The inventor, Carl Johnson, patented the invention in 1935. Johnson Automatic Striker Minnow plugs came in three sizes.

Fantastic Condition-- Works Great--This is for the Serious Collector! I am not sure how they are measured, so I took pics of it beside the tape measurer for all to see.

All mechanisms work great. No rust, no paint chipping, you can tell it was never used much, or not at all. This is a MUST for your lure collection. I love the way they used to make these such things back in the day--lots of workmanship and talent went into every lure.
