Like any other hobby, collecting antique fishing tackle can be fun, especially when you manage to get the rare and hard to find tackles. Reason for collecting fishing tackle differ from one collector to another. For me it just come naturally since I love fishing.

OldReelNet was established mainly to share my passion for the antique fishing tackles. Information on this fine hobby are difficult to find. So I hope by sharing the information some of you guys can enjoy this interesting hobby.

I’ll try to explain all the necessary part of collecting fishing tackles.  I'll cover finding the items, servicing, as well as taking care and displaying the tackles.  I'm more toward collecting the spinning fishing reels,  so most of my articles will refer to the spinning reels. All this information is based on my own experience,  after many years of involvement.
